Here's my experience.
Dealer didnt replace the harness. They replaced the amp. Didn't help. Dealer keeps telling me this is normal and Customer Care didn't do ****. I call bullshit.
My advice, send a email to Carlos Ghosn, President of Nissan (maybe Renault as well these days), include any other reference numbers from other people, state that we all want our wiring harnesses replaced ASAP and it is up to Nissan/Infiniti to get in touch with us to do it. Tell him we are getting stonewalled at the dealer, customer care techs are (for lack of a better word) incompentent and if he thinks that speaker buzz coming from the stereo when it is off or on in a $40K plus car is acceptable, he's an idiot.
Honestly, I'm giving the Toyota FJ some serious consideration at this point or I'm getting another Lexus. FYI I have a friend who works in Toyota planning, they are souping up the entire Lexus line to compete more directly with BMW/Infiniti.
Like my FX, but I don't think manufacturing is at the same level as Toyota/Lexus and I want something that is more capable from a 4 wheel drive/adverse condition perspective. Also, service levels vary so much between dealerships,.
