Hey guys, I have a 04 fx and seem to be encountering some remote entry/ locking issues. When I push my key alarm to unlock, all doors unlock except the trunk and passenger side front door.I can also hear the motors "click" on all 3 doors exept the passenger door. When I pushed the "unlock" button on the drivers door, the passenger door still does not unlock. I am assuming the passemger motor is shorted, is there a fuse i can check?? can somebody that has experienced this issue help me out?does warranty cover this..?? thanks alot.

Probably the opposite of shorted... aka open. Sounds like the motor is just burnt out (as a result of probably being shorted at one point or another :p )

Rule of thumb for fuses is that if you replace it once and it blows again, you go into troubleshooting what's causing the high current.

Since the rest of the power locks work, I'm going to assume it's not a blown fuse but rather a burnt out solenoid (pretty rare, but where water can *possibly* leak, anything can happen).

It's too dark out for me to check for fuses to see which one, and I don't have access to them nifty manuals on CD or online like others have...

It won't be a fuse. there is one fuse for all the lock motors. Probably bad actuator on the passenger door, or a break in the wiring going into the door. Pretty sure there is no actuator in the rear door. The release switch i think gets a locked or unlocked signal and allows/denys it to open. If it were me, i'd pull the passenger door and check the actuator assembly and wiring. But you still have a warranty, no? Bring it to the dealer. If not, a local alarm shop can troubleshoot it.

man...

I have the same problem but ONLY with the DRIVER SIDE DOOR and it sucks cuz i have to use my key to unlock the door and lock it manually with my hand when i get out cuz the remote doesnt lock or unlock it....dealer said tis a bad actuator...i am close to 80,000 miles no more warranty...$350.00!!!! is that a rip off? i am gonna wait to get this fixed....n e ideas if somewhere else other than the dealer could fix this issue for a cheaper price?

Find a local alarm /audio shop. They should be able to put an aftermarket actuator in for alot less. Tough job, but doable if they have skills.

I found a company that makes a repair kit for the infiniti door locks . It hooks into the factory system and powers your door locks like new . It is quick and easy to install and cost less than $50 per door and they have a lifetime warranty . took me less than a hour to do and the kit comes with everything you need and has good instructions and photos .
