Anyone know where I can get a transmission valve body?

I have a 2005 with 147k on it...and my valve body has failed twice. I'm obviously way past my warranty, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I can order one. The dealership wants $1100 for one, plus labor. I figure there's got to be someplace where I can order one...right? I signed up to these forums just for this question, but now that I'm here, I think these forums are pretty **** cool, so I may just stick around and participate!

Thanks in advance to anyone who might have some advice.

I know InfinitiScene.com has a couple threads about the valve body. Might want to browse over there too.

The valve body "upgrades" will be a bit less expensive than OEM - Stillen makes one.

But you can also do a Transgo Shift kit, which is a lot less expensive than replacing the entire valve body. Depends on what the failure is on your old one. Any transmission shop can do the mod if you bring the parts, but definitely make sure they have experience with your particular application to be safe.

There are about a thousand different valve body numbers for our transmission, hampered by the fact that Infiniti makes running changes in their production. Most of us who have had VB mods learned that you are better off getiing the VB that came with the car modded and not one off the shelf or from another vehicle.Your request seems focused on getting one that works not a higer performance VB.Possibly the replacement of all the solenoids and moving internals will fix all that is wrong with yours.
Time to talk to a quality shop
Be careful about using any kit. They all sacriface something for something and some manufactures are not very honest about that
PS I read that crap on Transgo site and if they cannot spell Infiniti,do not trust your car there
Transgo's kit is common for the 5AT. Not only do I have it myself, but have helped a couple others go for it. Without exception it's a positive experience for us all. No complaints, no failures, nice change in feel.

I agree it's totally lame they mis-spelled Infiniti, but Transgo has a pretty decent history and makes a solid kit for the 5AT.

Understood, but we are not racecars and don't demand the same performance. The FX is a sport tuned luxury SUV with bolt on mods, N/A max at 235whp. At those power levels and my inability to find a Transgo failure anywhere in the FX35, 350Z & G35 street communities, homework was done before making the purchase and I got an A+ on the test. You shouldn't assume this is my first rodeo either, bro.
