okay... i will post pics tonite, once i take them....

PROBLEM

nav display seems to show me approaching intersections AFTER i have just passed them.......

CAUSES

i have 'overshot' exits as a result, thinking i am to make the next turn, or next exit, rather than the one zenrin intends to have me make...

SOLUTION

manually adjust the speedsensor, and re-define the current vechicle location...

OUTCOME

great (after accidentially setting my location in downtown L.A. (while i should've been in florida!!lol) and after a few trial & error trips down marked (dvd known) roads, i have the car nailing the interesection just a hair later than the nav thinks.....

this gives me time to make the necessary turns, and stay up-to-date on my location.....

PROCESS OF ADJUSTMENT

TBA sometime tonite, when i can take some supportive pictures of the system in action

stay tuned!

step one

1) having the power (accessories) ON, and the HVAC, and radio OFF, engage the diagnostic mode....

***THIS is done by pressing (and holing down) the pause/mute button while turning the volume dial clockwise for about thirty clicks ±***

2) once to the screen (DIAGNOS. #1), lets use the same engagement process and goto the SECOND diagnostic screen (DIAGNOS.#2)

3) next we select NAVIGATION by scrolling over to that bar (joystick) and pressing enter (again, the joystick)

4) again, we wanna stay to the NAV bar-buttons, so select it again.....

5) selecting ANGLE ADJUSTMENT will bring up the next menu (read it carefully to understand what to-do)

after selecting ANGLE ADJUSTMENT you'll be able to make any needed changes........

ALLOW a few seconds for the selections/changes to be madde, as the system is storing to the drive (you'll hear it running under the pass. seat)

6) follow the same procedures for the SPEED CALIBRATION..... be sure to read and understand the value changes (easy to adjust them in the wrong way)

7) GO test it out!!! find an intersection on the map and drive there...... if you're waaaay off, you might wanna select the INITIALIZE LOCATION button and manually move to the street/cross street location where you physically are.... (i hads to, to make it nearly perfect for me)

feedbnack, as always, is appreciated!
