hello all..i just got my zaino delivered and have a question. they recommend using dawn for the 1st wash. my question is this: will any dishsoap work? we have sunlight and another one in the house but not dawn. i don't really feel like buying it when we have a fair quantity of the others.

"Dawn" is really the only one proven to actually break down grease and grim. I wont use anything else for dishes or my car. lol
When I used it on the car, it was really smooth and did not feel abrasive at all and rinsed off easily. IMO

Your taking chances with anything other than Dawn.

Yup, use Dawn. Also be sure to feel your paint with your fingertips through a piece of celophane (like the wrapping off a new CD or DVD) to feel for embedded fallout in the paint (you'd be surprised at how much you'll feel on a new car). Clay bar the carto get rid of this, then check the car over really good for any scratches and work them out with McGuires Srcatch X or Kit Scratch Out. NOW your paint is prepped and ready for that killer Zaino shine.
