Anyone have a windshield squeak in the windshield and front left dash area? I can't figure it out.

Haven't noticed any squeaks in my FX yet....
no squeak here too..
i had a very mild squeek from the dash speaker, up by the w/s....

by pressing down on the grille of the speaker, it would stop..

only get it when going over traintracks now.....
I hear a ticking noise from the windshield area. Not squeaking or creaking but like a single tick everyonce in a while, only when it's cold. I can't figure out the exact location however....
That's exactly what I have. Tick more than squeak. Been happening more lately. Can't find the source though.

Now I have this CRAZY squeak from front left whenver I go over bumps or uneven roads. This noise is driving me nuts!? Could this be the Eiabach Spring messed up my front left shock? I'm so worried...

Might want to check the door window. There's a TSB for new window regulators for the windows in the front doors.

I've heard a squeak or two too... turned out to be the plastic vents in the dash.
I had a loose fender liner that caused a bunch of racket when going over speed bumps and driveway transitions.
I know this is a very old string, but I have been specifically looking for THIS issue. I?ve had this happening more frequently lately. Took it to the dealer, they popped the dash and installed a gasket. Was fine for about a day, and now it?s back worse than it was before.

Sounds as if the dash is rubbing against the windshield. Slight pressure from my hand stops it. Any fixes I can do myself? I can?t spend another half day driving to and from the dealer for a measly squeak/tapping thing. But I?ve got to get it fixed.

Pressure on the dash or on the windshield?

If it's the windshield, it's probably the nature of the beast... windshields will expand and contract depending on the weather (and they can expand quite a bit!) so designing the seal around the windshields (front and rear) is actually quite a bit of engineering. With glass, it's hard to make them perfect (and glass is actually still a liquid so over time it actually still "flows"... just very slowly) so if you have a squeaky windshield, I think there's only 2 possible fixes... replace the seal around the windshield or replace the seal AND the windshield. I find windshields make more noise in the winter (as they are smaller and have more room to shake around) than in the summer... well, the windshields that make noise that is...
Ah, details details :) Pressure on the 'dash' stops the noise.
LOL... then I think you might be in luck as that seems like it's not the windshield making the noise... now you just need to find which part of the dash is making the noise...
Put a bucket of popcorn on the dash and you'll be fine :D .

But seriously, I've been getting this clicking sound from the dash also. Right where the defrost vents are for the windshield. I tried the pressure test ( ), but nothing worked. It kind of stops if I turn on the heat... :? .
The only thing that will get mine to stop is to run the defrosters. It's driving me crazy and makes it feel like I'm driving a Hyundai. I found some Lexol conditioning spray for vinyl/rubber. This weekend I'm going to try and get a bit down between the window and the dash and in the seems of the dash and vents. Hopefully that will help. I tool it into the dealer to get it fixed and two days later it started happening again worse than before.
Get this. I have the same clicking noise (the dealer "fixed it" by taking the dash out and "insulating" things, but the fix only lasted a week or so). It starts when:
a. It's cold outside, and:
b. The car hasn't completely warmed up.

But it doesn't do it on the highway - only at around-town speeds.

So let's see: doesn't do it when the engine is hot (warm weather or warmed up in cold weather), driving at highway speeds, or engine is very cold.

Under the hood is an insulating pad. I noticed it was kind of loose, so in frustration I took a wadded-up Coke can and stuffed in under the pad - in front of the driver-side. Clicking noise is gone.

Hmmm.....

I have to say my 2006 FX35 has lots of squeaks and noises. Like there's lots of body flexing going in & out of the driveway, etc. The front windows squeak in their tracks, but an occasional shot of silicone spray fixes it.

People, i had to use a 'the thing/instrument' that doctors use to measure your heartbeat,
my problem and supposedly YOUR PROBLEM is in the windshield MIRROR,
there's a bolt that you may need to adjust it,

i've putted a 1 Euro/cent, you might put a penny just to make it firmer.

So check your Mirror, and you will understand what im talking about.
