I mean cruising on a flat highway.

I came up with about 2850 (give or take 10). I found a flat stretch of highway and set the cruise control to 79 and the speedo says 81 (I've posted about the discrepancy before and it sounds common).

Interesting that we have about the same car configuration. Do you think the grounding kit had an effect?

As long as the torque coverter is locked, it should not vary at all.

This is what I am exactly thinking. I remebered I have close to 3000 before.

Around 2800 rpm. Wasnt paying much attention to the tach though... I was trying to keep up with my friend's WRX on my way home from VT averaging 90+. :? Gunning it on to on ramps, uphills, weaving in and out of traffic and blowing by RXs still got me 21mpg. Not bad. My FX has never seen that kind of gas mileage before.

The grounding kit definitely gave me a smoother feel on shifts. Idle and cruising seemed more refined also. Good stuff, full review to come later.
