I realize it's a year away, but what changes do you think we'll see on the FX35/45 for model year 2006? It will be the 4th model year so I have a feeling there will be some pretty signficant changes. Autospies seems to think so as well. It's anyones guess on what changes the '06 FX will actually have, but we should know more in about 6-8 months.

Here is what I would personally like to see:

-Upgraded NAV w/ 8" screen and voice commands (from the upcoming M35/45)
-More HP: 295hp for the FX35 and 340 for the FX45
-Cooled/Ventilated front seats
-Slightly restyled grill/bumpers for a more agressive appearance
-Upgraded interior materials and improved placement of the analog clock w/ wood trim optional (ala refreshed G35)

That's about it for me. (Here's hoping Infiniti is listening) :D

What about you guys??

I would like to see some software related changes: Programble Navi while driving (Acura allows this); my wife should be able to program a destination while I drive! More info on the Mileage Screen (ideally I'd like Trip data and Mileage combined into one screen - and I'd like it to keep a History; at a minimum the previous tank as Acura does).

Rain sensitive wipers like the MDX.
A carbon fiber trim option like whats in the new TL.
And perhaps a glove large enough for the Owners Manual
And a glasses case big enough for Oakley XX.
And a lined "trinket" tray incorporated into the center console.

Most of this stuff you already do or can easily have.

-The moving nav mod is an easy fix for your first complaint:

-There are aftermarket carbon trim packages available.

-My owners manual portfolio and nav manual fit perfectly in my glove box (no room for anything else, though).

-If you have an '04, the two compartments under the flip up armrests are lined trinket trays. If you have an '03, a little adhesive backed felt will do the trick. If those aren't big enough, I'm sure you can buy some little tray to put in the large console bin.

IMO, every change they've made (with the exception of the height adj. pass seat and wheel paint) since '03 has been for the worse, so I'd be careful what you ask for.

I, like most others, would love to see more HP/TQ. 360HP/385TQ 5.0L VQ8 would be an excellent incentive to trade-in my FX45 for.

Here's my "wishlist:"

-AMG-like version with the proper outfitting of interior/exterior, suspension and engine options (400+HP super-charged) or V-10 NA. Now that would bring Infiniti up with the big leagues in offering a V-10.

-More Aluminum trim on the doors or a Black birds-eye maple type option.
-Full leather option to cover dash, doors and console areas.
-Auto-door locks
-M45 upgraded voice NAV w/ 8" screen.
-Adjustable ride suspension (Std-Sport-Enthusiast)
-Better transmission shift-logic more in-line with the G35 Coupe Auto.
-Redesign/freshening of the center dash area to be classier with an
i-drive type knob controller (M45)
-Electro-luminescent display.
-21"x10" (min) wheels on the Sport Package
-More sophiticated sonar cruise control to replace Laser.
-9" DVD TV similar to the one on the new 2005 Honda Odyssey
-Better distinguishing emblems and exterior aesthetics on the V-8 and sport-designated models.
-Fully-loaded as mentioned under $55K.
-Fully-loaded AMG-type version for under $65K

I'm sure there's more to add shortly.....

MP3 playback option instead of a tape player. Universal memory card reader and auxiliary audio input would be nice too.

Larger screen for DVD player

Traffic sensitive navigation system

Utility tray on the console for the cell phone, loose change etc.

Move seat controls to the side

Gear shifters on the steering wheel, Formula 1 style

Hidden roof rails with removable crossbars.

Solar powered ventilator, kind of like one audi has

Integrated antenna

Adjustable air suspension

Voice activated eject for passenger seat…
