So i went out of town to hang with family for the holidays. On the trip down there, i only saw 2 other Fxs on the freeway (75 south into FL). I averaged 75mph throughout the trip. My max speed was the ICC governed 90mph. I also averaged 21.6mpg. While in FL, i crossed the 1000 mile mark so i decided to see what this baby can do. Boy, was i pleasantly surprised. The brakes on this thing are simply amazing. Rock solid stability while bringing you to a quick stop! Also, the cornering just left me speechless. I took this one corner at about 80mph and the car exibited no body roll  !! Simply Amazing!! Acceleration was also great. I did not get a chance to race anybody but i pulled off from stoplights pretty quick! I also throughly tested the Nav system and it never once failed to get me to my destination. Programming it was very easy. I have the 6.3 version of the DVD which i believe is the latest.
ICC was also another God sent feature. Three things i learnt about ICC though: (a) It does not work too well when the rain is slightly heavy (though the wiper was still intermittent) (b) It sometimes speeds up too close to the car in front while taking a corner. (c) It does not work too well when following cars with high mounted tail lights ( It was confused by a Honda CRV). All that being said, i still love this thing!! Having it brake for me and then accelerate made my life so much easier!
On the way back, i experienced some traffic so my average speed was only 65mph. My gas average was 20.9mpg. I only saw one FX on the way back. However, Nissan must be making a killing of the Titan and Murano. I saw at least one of each every single mile!
How well does that mileage left till empty indicator work? I tried to test it out but when i got to 18 miles left, it went blank and showed 4 stars instead of a reading. I quickly pulled into a gas station and filled up.
Overall, i am very happy with this vehicle. I am so glad i did not get the RX or the Touareg!

Mine does the same and it is annoying. I have found that I generally have a gallon left when it does.

My trip report to NE.

550 mile oneway with two little kids in the back. Brought 6 DVDs.

Hit heavy snow for about 30min and almost went into ditch on I-88 toll. Was following a Neon, with some snow/slush on the road, this Goodyear RS-A with 40% tread left was joke. Can't wait for new Toyos.

Tried to maintain 80mph +/- under heavy traffic and found out 3-4mph speedo error. While ICC being set on 80mph, speedo needle was indicating 81-82. Pushed Ave. Speed on trip computer, 0.5 mile later it said "76" :? .

On rural black top, pulled over by a NE state trooper Chevy pickup. Was going 76 on 50 but I had no choice since my daughtor had to go bathroom. Got a warning.

Hope everybody had great Thanksgiving Days. :)

Went to an Indian casino (Pechanga) in Temecula, about 110ml from my house. Tried the ICC in the carpool lane, got tired of that 'cause it follows too far behind and brakes too much (not good in CA, 'cause braking screws up a road with these lame-ass drivers). On the 15S, doing OK, 'till one of these lousy CA drivers pulled out in front of me about one car length ahead with a 30MPH differential (and of course, had ZERO idea what he'd done- dumbass- I hate CA drivers- have I mentioned this yet?). Showed him the awsome power of the '45's 3rd gear as I went into the lane he just left and then pulled back ahead of him (if I've got the room to do that, your stupid ass has the room to wait for me to pass you, jackoff!). Rest of the trip uneventful. Avg. MPG 12.7, same as usual.
