Can you post more info regarding the tire noise compared to stock? Also are these All-Season tires? How many miles on your stock GoodYears till you changed over to these?

I ask because I'm at 23K now and probably will have to change my tires sometime this year. BFG KDWs are out of the question because it snows here in Boston. :p

finally!!

a (partial) shot of the VB exhaust installed........

looks like an 18" muffler, eh?? MUST sound even better than stock... does it have a "X"tube in it??

what i wonder is if these tires are wider, even tho they have the same numbers (there are measureable differences between manufacturers....)

toyo's website specs: (inflated specs)

height = 30.4"
width = 11.0"
weight = 42lbs
rpm = 682
code = 242300

click for TOYO

now, all we need are oem numbers to verify.....

- Mud and snow (M&S) rated for all-season performance

- High angle tread groove to resist aquaplaning

- Low angle tread grooves excellent for wet handling

- High ply turn-up casing construction for handling and stability

- High bead filler for excellent steering response

- Jointless two-cap ply for high-speed endurance.

- Cap/base compound for high speed durability. The base compound helps the tire run cooler. The cap compound provides high friction and wear resistance.

- Rim protector to guard against wheel and sidewall damage.

- High tensile steel belts for ride comfort and stable ride

- High-modulus bead filler and strong polyester casing assure responsive handling with excellent ride comfort.

- Aggressive tread pattern and sidewall design for sporty appearance.

- Jointless bead wire for uniformity and balance.

- H and V speed-rated (depending on size)
- UTQG Treadwear 420
- UTQG Traction A
- UTQG Temperature A
- M and S Rated
The Toyo® Proxes S/T high performance sport truck and SUV radial delivers a powerful combination of superb handling, confident all-season performance, and a smooth, stable ride.

The H and V speed rated Proxes S/T offers plus-sizing opportunities on pick-up trucks and sports utility vehicles

goodyear specs (inflated as well)

height = 30.4"
width = 10.9" BUT the max treadwidth is only 9.4"....

interesting.....

Esemes, here is the muffler I replaced with. I would say the car is 10% louder...and deeeeep, nasty. I love it.
Also, it is smaller and lighter than the HUGE oem can.

I hope to get new wheels by the end of the year. Keep us posted on long term use.

So how do they perform compared to the Goodyears? I would like to get a performance street/track tire but these are all-season. They are the only other manufacturer that makes alternatives to the Goodyears in our size though. They look way better, but I'd need to know more about performance and noise before I'd replace my perfectly good Goodyears.

I'm hoping Pirelli or someone will come out with a performance street tire in our size.
