I'm confused did you get a drop in K&N filter/ i.e. replaced the oem filter.
or did you order the stillen intake that comes with a cone shaped K&N?
 I get it you did both
At first I installed the drop in k&N filter, then I finally recieved my stillen intake and had it installed last weekend.

i think the Stillen setup ditches the baffles/resonators found on the oem airbox setup, rught??? this will explain the audible difference between the two...

aNY pics?

Think so, will have pics updated soon.

That is correct. There is a large resonator below the stock airbox that is omitted with the Stillen set-up.
How often will I need to clean the Stillen, and with what?

Buy a K&N Air filter cleaning kit at Pep Boys, Auto-Zone, etc. Then remove the filter, spray the cleaner on the filter, than rinse with water. After the filter dries, spray it with the filter oil supplied with the K&N cleaning kit.
How often will depend on your driving environment and habits. I usually clean mine every 10-15K miles. If you live in a dry, dusty climate, you may need to clean it more often.
