Speed Control Help

Just finished a wonderful 1800 mile trip with my FX45. What a wonderful ride! I incurred a problem with the laser speed control. When it would rain I could not set the speed. Figured that maybe the unit had gotten some road "sludge" on it or something and that was impacting how it functioned. I could bypass the laser control and everything worked fine. I did not think much of it until the last two days we have had light rain and mist off and on. When ever it was misting or raining, I can not engage the speed control with the automatic distance control function. Anyone experienced anything like this or have some insight to what might be going on? I have about 2500 on the speedo. TIA.

This is normal and done as a safety precaution. Whenever the windshield wipers are turned on, the Interactive Cruise Control is deactivated. It happened to me the other day. Regular cruise control works, but not the ICC.
****, Thanks! I figured someone a lot smarter than me would have figured out why this was so. Everything else on this engineering phenom seems to be intentional. Appreciate it!
No problem.

I don't believe Infiniti would feel secure enough with respect to the laser unit working properly in the rain, as it relies on the ability to read the reflectors on the vehicle in front. The rain would simply minimize its reliability and greatly increase the chances of an accident. Not to mention the potential for large liability claims should a malfunction occur. Better just to deactivate the ICC altogether.
besides turning the wipers on, is there another way to turn the interactive cruise off? I could use it without it sometimes

thanks
Cruise control

If you hold the "engage" button in for 3 to 5 seconds you will bypass the ICC and have just good ole fashion static cruise control.
