Hi Guys,

Just yesterday during my normal drive to work in the morning, i got check engine light on. At the same time i noticed sluggish accelaration as if i was towing something heavy. I got it tested for codes: U1000, U1001, P1757 and P1815. The day before i went under the car to see if i can remove the annoying aluminum Y-pipe cover that rattles. I sprayed some liquid wrench on the rusted bolts in an attempt of losing them up. Is it possible that spray couldve hurt one of the connectors ? I dont think they would be exposed like that... has anyone had this problem / codes before ?

The U codes are the type you see with grounding or battery issues, I suspect the others might be a result of the same.

Could you have damaged a cable while you were under there?

The U1000 code generally refers to problems with grounding on the vehicle but the other codes may or may not be related.

Here's a little info on the codes:

Is it possible that you sprayed your liquid wrench on to some of the harness connections under there? There are a couple of service bulletins and a DIY in with the code information on autocodes.com that may help here as well.

U code can be associated con a battery that is low on voltage. Recharge and see if it resets the code.
