Hello,

I was in a dealership today and they had an FX45 outfitted with a brand new set of stainless steel running boards. It looked awesome on the car. The dealership wanted $1000.00 for this option. We all know dealerships charge a lot of accessories. Does anyone know of any after market companies selling this item? Please let me know.

I typed "stainless steel running boards" into google and it came up with lots of companies selling them. Obviously, you are going to have to call/write them to see if they have anything that fits the FX.

What I did notice is that they tend to run in the $200-$500 range (uninstalled). Did you happen to notice the manufacture's name anywhere on the running boards or the window sticker? If so, I'd look them up. If not, go back and look again (and take a picture while you're at it, I'd love to see what it looks like).

Please post pics if you can... I'd like to see what it looks like. Personally, I think it takes away from the FX's intent of being a 'sports sedan w/ a back pack'.

I just called the dealer and they said they are made by a company called ice berg. I know that was the label but I have done several searches and I can't seem to find ice berg anywhere? Anyone heard of them? The dealership may be throwing me a curve ball so I won't go somewhere else.

Since I wanted to see what the running boards on the FX look like (and I didn't want to mess my FX up), I sneaked over to ujmot's house and installed these running boards on his FX35. 8) Personally, I hope the real ones look a whole lot better (however, I'd never consider it for mine). :shock:

I was thinking the same thing. It's like they're on there just for the "bling factor" and they don't even look good.

I really wanted to get some running boards for my FX but looking at these pics, I think I will wait untill maybe Infiniti actually comes out with one that fits the SUV.

Was just seacrching INFINITI and FX on EBAY, and they have a set of the new Chrome running boards above for sale on there. I agree they just don't fit our FINI's!!!
