The San Fernando Valley (usually just called "The Valley") here in SoCal is usually warmer than L.A. itself; today, it was a car-measured 95 degrees at lunchtime. I and four cow-orkers took off for lunch and I was worried about how hot the car would be after sitting in the sun all day and with a full load of heat-creating folks on the inside, but with the Automatic Temp set to my normal, year-round 76, the A/C worked like a champ. It's rare that the back of my shirt isn't soaked when I get out of the car on hot days in other cars (and I wore a long-sleeved shirt and tie today) but between the composition of the seats, and the effectiveness of the A/C (even for the rear passengers), it was a most comfortable ride.

Strike another plus for the FX!

My display said 92 degrees yesterday at lunch so I'm also happy to report the AC unit works very well. I particularly like the way the AC turns on in recirculating mode to quickly cool the interior, and then automatically switches to fresh air mode when the interior has cooled.

I'm always amazed at how well it works, and fast, too. Gotta love the dual climate control as well; it's a real marriage saver.

BTW, Kenny, you doing soem funky genetic experiments over there? I'm not sure I'd want to haul around three Cow-Orkers in my FX; must be **** to clean up after!

fx seats dont get any where near as hot as other leather seats of the same color IMO. that really helps when your sitting in the sun all day.

See, that's 'cause they have this really pliant seat-cushioning material! (Apologies to those who hate their leather issues, but I wonder if the cosmetic effects are overshadowed by comfort and climate improvements?!)

Ran my today 76 outside, the car cooled down very fast. Surprisly being black car and black interior. Now I just have to get that tint done.

i gotta admit..the only option i really wish the fx would have come with is cooled seats..i know that's a rare option still but with all the other cutting edge things it comes with, i thought it would have had that.

I pity all you people sweating out there in 93 degree weather
Sheeeit. I don't! The hotter, the better, AFAIC!

The weatherman can't make up his mind here in Ottawa. Bitter cold one day and the next +11 then back down to -1, etc., etc. And all the freezing rain here makes me appreciate the excellent FX VDC even though I consider myself an excellent driver.

It would be nice if it would warm up as fast as it cools down but I guess there is only so much bending of the laws of physics one can do. It does warm up pretty quick though and stays that way. I'm happy.

Happy New Year everybody!
