I just purchased a 2004 FX45. It's in great shape and I love it, but will surely need mechanical assistance in future. I do shadetree mechanic stuff myself, oil changes and the like, but prefer a specialist for the bigger jobs.

In the past I've taken my BMWs to Car Tender or Fat City, Volvos & Saabs to Swedish Automotive, and my aging RX7 goes to a rotary engine specialist in Kent.

So...who's the go-to for Infiniti/Nissan? Anyone other than the dealership in Kirkland?

I prefer a service tech that specializes, not a one-stop-shop for imports.

I dont want to spoil the mood or curse you but I live in federal way and there has not been a problem with my 45 that I couldn't fix and if worst comes to worst I would just take it to the dealer. but you should really have any major problems if you stay on top of things what's your mileage???? looking at right now.

To clarify my earlier post, my FX45 currently has 65k miles.
I don't have maintenance records for it, so figure it'd be prudent to at least flush and change the trans & diff fluids and filter.

If I can't find an independent specialist, I guess I'll be taking it to the stealership.

Thanks for any mechanic suggestions you may have.

Oh you should be good there is a shop in kent that deals with imports but Iwould rather go to the stealership for anything major. Maintenance I am comfortable doing on my own! Im at 70k no problems so far I did all the maintenance so far but need to get a trannyflush and I might do the differential myself but that is about it.

I heard good feedback on http://zahntechauto.com/. The main mechanic there is Infiniti Certified mechanic. My 30K miles service is approaching and I am planning to give him a call.

Also a friend of mine takes his Lexus to http://mynwautocenter.com/ and he loves how they do job on his car. I am planning to give them a call too.

As for Infiniti of Kirkland, they are extremely overpriced in my opinion. Oil change is $250. Brake surficing $450 when it is $150 in other places. Detailing is $400 when other places do the same for $250. The front license plate holder is $150 because it is for $58K car in their words.
