Hello Everyone, i have a 2005 Fx35 and i have a couple of questions if anyone can answer,

The Headlights on the car are already HID, i'd like to get the purple light, do i have to buy the whole balast and conversion kit to get the purple hue or is it just the bulb i need since i alredy have HID?

i cannot find out the size for the bulbs which is another thing
i'd like to change the day time running lights the fog lights and the head lights to the purple hue

if anyone can direct me and tell me what i need,or even show me the way, to a website or a store where i can buy these things i would greatly appreciate it

All you need are bulbs to change color... if you want purple color you want to go 10,000K or 12,000K. You know that the overall brightness will be diminished, right?

Low beams D2S HID
edit by ShadyJC - thanks mine ! NOT D2R NOT D2R NOT D2R
Clearance (DRL) lights 7443
Fog lights 9006

what do u mean that the overall brightness will be diminished?
There are two elements to measuring car lighting - one is color and the second is luminosity. The color is measured in "K" Kelvins, our stock HIDs produce light at ~4100-4300K. As you move up to 10,000K or 12,000K the light becomes more blue and then more purple.

The measure of brightness is luminosity, as you start to move higher in Kelvin there is less light produced.

Here's some good links to read through:

Anyone interested in this subject, do a search on "10K" and you will have lots of reading to do.

I still have a pair of 8,000K D2S Bulbs which I bought of another member of this forum and used for several months I'm trying to get rid of. PM me or just reply here if you are interested.

These bulbs come out blue.

You do not need any additional ballasts, just the bulbs.
