lets talk BMW M1

hmmmm...not sure im still undecided on what i think of it! i wasnt too keen on the looks of the hatchback but i love that coupe! Kinda aggro front end, but with a bit of cheeky mixed in....nice!!

They had a 1980 M1 on display at my local BMW dealer a while back -- very impressive. The V6 had similar power to our VQ engine but only 14 mpg. With 0-62 in about 5.6 sec though it's pretty quick.

As for the new 1 series... I'll pass. The design reminds me of a riced-out car.

i forget the name of his successor, but whomever it is will be putting a different flavour on the new gen bmw's.......

Banged is incharge of more important things, like shop costs, measurements, and payroll, i hope......

Bangle sure has his hands in it, but most of the new designs are comming from Adrian van Hooydonk.

I don't see why everybody's hatin' on Bangle's designs; I'd love to have a 745i, and almost bought a 540i before I decided on my FX45.

I am the happy owner of a BMW 323i, my brother owns a 540i, and I generally like them all. That said, I would be very upset if I looked on the door panel and read "Made in China". :shock:

a 1.6 diesel, 1.6 gasoline and 2.2 gasoline will be the first models.. 116d, 116i and 120i. I don't believe the diesel is gonna come to NA though.
