Okay, as you all know, I love to race any car at any red light.

Yesterday, I got to have some fun.

First: Took out a newer model camaro ('00)
More than car length off the line in manual mode, and I was long gone. Slowed to let him catch up, we were rollin at about 20mph and then punched it. He had no chance (that new pulley really adds a punch). Further down the road I let him pass and he flashed brakes and turned. Saw the same car this morning and he flashed his lights at me.

Seond: Took out a older porsche w/some high school age driver.
Blew him away at the light. I was laughin so hard. He was so mad that he had to pass me doing 70 in a 40. Where is the cops when you need them (he he).

I LOVE a good race. :evil:

Does anyone have a g-tech I could borrow?

Porsche Cayenne. Not a turbo of course. Then they pulled next to me at the next light and had this look like they shoulda got a FX.

Beat a riced out civic, 94 integra


Got dusted by an S2000, got killed by a WRX, head to head with civic with a GSR motor.

Racig is in my blood:350Z,just walked away from him(6spm),CayanneS,Muranno(why did he try)X5,4.6easy!,Crossfire would not race,SC430...did not know we were racing(pulled up behind my front wheel and jumps light),pull to his rear bumper and sit there to 80(bad place to race).BoxerS.With the lowered stance and loud exhaust people do not bite so easy now!

You smoked a Boxster S? I doubt it. I raced one in my M Coupe and it was dead even. The boxster S does 0-60 in 5.1 seconds.

I have said elsewhere that I am not impressed with launch/1st gear on these and prefer to race off a roll or 20/30mph.That also takes away a lot of the weight diff. People rarely know when something as simply as off the roll cost them half a second.I will be modifying the torque converter stall which is too low at 2300/2400 and more.Lot's of people can't drive and the car cannot do that.More money than brains is one of the oldest and truest statement s at the drags.

i am very happy for the 35 folk,but there is not much for the 45 and I am having people working on stuff for me(yes,I will share) and I like my brighter HIDs and stuff but power is what I do!The rims and Eibachs were done or odered before I knew about these 2 sites.

What I hate is how I'll get killed by the rev limiter in manual mode 'cause the engine sure feels like it's got more to go, and I can't feel it's time for the upshift.

how do you guys/gals use your manual shift? when do you downshift and upshift? how do you get the best starting time?

As I talked about elsewhere on this site,the exhaust,KN and transmission were the things done first.I have full manual control of shiftsi in slap mode.I shift at 7000 limiter hits at 7100.I drop to 3rd (sometimes 2nd) for roll starts.The trans is going back in May for more mods(faster shifts and converter)CAI this week.This motor loves to rev,but rev limiter is in the ECU.My transmission guy has tricked the computer on some things,but not that.(He works on this trans in the mid east for a wealthy royal family...I benefit from the R&D.)

I thought the limiter kicks in at ~6800 rpms? Mine doesn't go close to passing 7000

I've killed my friend's 330Xi step and a stock WRX, that's pretty much about it....nobody seems to want a race with the FX :? I totally obliterated a camry while keeping under the break-in procedures :lol:
