Ok... first, please dont tell me how they dont work... lol i know i have read some reviews saying laser jammers work, and some saying they dont...

my question is, if you were to get one, what would you get? does the laser jammer interfere with the fx with tech package (intelligent cruise and brake assist)????

i have a valentine one right now, and last night i was going 22 over the limit when a cop hit me with the laser... of course when u are hit with laser its all over... you get that wonderful feeling saying #*@% im about to get a 200 ticket and 4 points on my license...

anyways back to my question, laser jammer - which one to get? also would you get a hidden radar detector also? or keep the valentineone? or have a hidden radar detector/laser jammer and in addition have the valentineone?

thanks

Welcome to the forum. I'm troubleshooting m computer right now, but If you do a search on the topic, it has been discussed before. The question of the possible interference with ICC also came up and was speculated upon, but no-one actually ever asked any of the manufacturers.

I'd keep the V1 regardless; can't beat it, IMO. Do you currently get false laser alarms when your ICC's laser bounces back from vehicles in front of you? I've heard of this happening as well.

Yes, but I found that when mounting the V1 to the right and above the rear view mirror that I get the fewest false alarms - the only time i get the alarm is if i am behind another suv or a truck (somthing as high as the radar detector), if it is just a car i dont get the false alarm from the laser reflecting.

i notice with that system it has only one radar rcvr antenna and 3 laser... so it does not provide full protection from the rear?

wouldnt it be better to get the laser shifter and the passport 8500 x50????

thanks

Thats what I would recommend first. I didn't say anything about this because you already have a V1. If you want to start all over then I would definitely get the 8500x50 w/ the Zr3 shifter. :)
hmmm can i keep both? or do they interfere? i ask because i dont know if i will be able to give up my directional arrows... lol

 Don't worry about where it is coming from. When you get a serious signal, you should be already at the speed limit. Having a radar detector with no arrows is easy to adjust too. It is like learning your depth perception of the road. The closer you get to the signal source, ie.traffic, the stronger your alarms get ie.hard breaking unless you are already at the speed limit. :)

escort had a system with detector & jamming combo...not cheap...I don't see it advertised on there site now...just checked my files
escortradar.com/srx.htm this system sells for $1500-1700.00
and must be installed by a certified dealer..have not seen any reviews on this system. but if it works it would be the best out on the market.. I use a V-1 and am very happy with it..

Did you turn off yoru V-1's laser detection?
I have mine mounted above/right of the mirror, in the dotted section. It lowered the amount of laser falses but still get them if I get about 3-5 feet of the car in front of me.
