Just had to replace both front head lights for my 2013 jx35. Had condensation in headlights that knocked out driver side head light, then a week later after heavy rain the passenger side head light went out, same issue water/condensation. These lights are to be sealed, had several conversations with infiniti corporate and local dealer only option was to replace both head lights at the tune of $3500. My opinion this is an absolute take advantage of a customer. To manufacture a headlight that if moisture gets into a, so called sealed headlight, and causes it to completely go out and have the consumer have to pay $1500 for each headlight is ridiculous. Now I have two new headlights with a 12 month warranty, already worried about what will happen at the 13th month if lights go again. Any other options I may have if the go out again? My opinion inifiniti should have a recall on this type of failure to a head light, again it's a sealed light, must have missed the fine print that the seal was a wearable item and the entire headlight will Need to be replaced every three years.

I have the same problem. 2013 JX 35 passenger side headlight failed and they tell me its $2000 to replace the entire unit. I can take a chance and replace the bulb only for $265 plus labour and tax. Wondering how often this happens. Is this a secret recall item?

Swap your bulbs from left to right. If the bad bulb is still bad on the driver's side, it's just the bulb. If the good bulb doesn't light up on the passenger side, it's the ballast.

Also $265 for a FREAKIN BULB??? That's bullshit...

Just looked it up... It's a regular D2S bulb... You can buy them ANYWHERE... Or order them online...

Here's how to change them. Will take you about 5 minutes per side:

I'm having the same issue. I replaced the bulb and it still does not work. I have been told by a mechanic that it may be the module but buying an entire unit is crazy expensive!

I have a 2013 JX35 and my driver's side low-beam does not work. Replaced the bulb and it still doesn't work, check all fuses and they are good. I'm told it's probably the module. Has anyone else had this problem and it not be the module that is a $1200+ fix?
