Talked to a tech at Jim Wolf Technology. They are in research of producing a Pop Charger for the FX45. He couldn't tell me when it would be completed, but said to look out for later this year. He told me to join the mailing list for updates.

Join the mailing list and under vehicle put FX45! Maybe this will speed up development as this will show more demand (probably not but worth a try). If you have time too, call and ask about the FX45 pop charger. 619 442-0680

PS anyone try to bolt this onto our MAF sensor (for a FX45)? If so it looks like easy enough to modify the pop charger to get it to work on our cars as it works on the FX35 I believe.

Ben @ JWT has been saying the same thing for the past couple of years regarding an FX35 specific Pop-Charger too. ... It would be nice for you guys if C13 is right.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it a big modification for the FX35 to make it fit properly? Wondering if I should just buy it for my FX45 and modify it to work. As long as the MAF sensor bolts match up the rest should be just time consuming.

The 45 MAF is 3.5" diameter v 3" and the bolt pattern is different...neither is hard to change
The G/Z 35 is a length issue I believe.Again,not a big issue

Guys, I have a friend who is pretty close with the guys at JWT. I think he
has the special red phone number

Once I get an FX (later this year?) I'll be able to help push something like
this along... so simple

Actually, in preparation for getting an FX, I'll ask my friend to inquire :)

I joined the mailing list too, and put FX45 as the vehicle. There are just no forced induction options for the 45, bummer...

It's been a little while but I'm VERY close to getting an FX45. I spoke with
my friend the other day and he put another call into JWT. Once I get the FX,
we can work with them to put together an intake. I just did a bit of poking
around in this section and it seems like an intake is a sore subject amongst
the 45 crowd, huh? I'll push and try to get this done along with an ECU from
JWT. I've got their products on my SE-R (ECU and cams) and am very happy with
the gains but more importantly the reliability!

Kieranlavin - this is great news. Any options for more products for an FX45 is welcomed. Just note there are slight difference between 2003-2005, 2005-2006, and I believe 2006+.

2003-2005 are MAF sensor hold differences w/ 2005-2006 and 2006+ have completely different location and length.

From the responses on this forum, dynoed gains will win the crowd. As far as I know, there are two custom Weapon R Intakes for the FX45. One on mine and one on my friend's. We're both very happy with them after all this time, but we're just every day drivers.

I do not think this is as confusing as some think
Wasabiz45 made his own box which routes under bumper air to the filter and holds it in a box
Bazooka has designed and built his own and shows how on his signature
I use the Wasabiz box and my own filter adater(also had one made for Kenny) and it works great
The stock tube fromMAF to throttle body is pretty good and can stay, just route more air and a better firter to the MAF.

JWT needs a different bolt pattern and the 03 and 04 need a larger diameter...not hard to do

After market seem to fall into the same problem, stock tube has a gentle bend, while many of the after market actually use a 90 degree elbow.
Nis/Inf are very sensitive to positioning the sensor(the reason Stillen and JWT use velocity rings to straighten the air going to the MAF

So my friend spoke with the guys at JWT who told him that there is a POP
already available for us. The question he had was whether or not the MAF is
part of the intake or not. It is not and there is an intake out there for us.
So I have to remind my friend who's getting a few ECU's sent to him this week
to have an intake thrown in and I can test it out. Assuming it fits without
issue, I'll get a part number so anyone can order it up. I'm interested to
see how it'll sound. I'm pretty happy with the way my car sounds right now.

Given the several people who have talked to JWt about this, why is the answer now so simple???
And for which years...the later MAF's seem to be 3" not 3.5 as mine is

Sounds good, I assuming it'll come with a bracket to hold it up!

I'll have to measure the MAF when I take it apart. I didn't realize that
there were size differences. JWT seems to think that the earlier one will
work (so maybe his is 3.5" and won't work for mine in which case I'll have to
find someone with an earlier 45 to test it out on) It's good though that I
have an FX to play with and measure and I have a direct line to JWT to get things done

100% sure for 2003 FX45 it's 3.5"

I know this because I had a custom MAF adapter made at 3.5" to fit the MAF tube.
