If you don't have a DVD you are looking at modifying. See this link:http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1457&highlight=ipod

If you have DVD you can jack into the Aux input using direct from the headphone jack on your iPod or from the optional iPod charging stand (this is what I do, as it give you a good line level output). 8)

According to "Logan" at mp3yourcar, nothing for FX, nor the future at this time. At least with their company. Time to move on...

One of their sales/techs emailed me that the FX version was a "work in progress". But that was a few months ago... I guess they work slow!

I did a car search, and under Infiniti, it only lists:

G20
G35
I30
Q45
QX56

Plus, kinda expensive just to hook up Ipod. Now if it was a carputer, that would be excellente!

On the advice of several others, I recently installed a PAC AAI-NIS unit on my FX35 with NAV. It works like a champ. It does not allow control of the ipod, or display of the current song on the NAV. It merely converts the head unit's SAT input to an AUX device.

There is an article by ShadyJC in the HOW-TO section which explains how to install this yourself. I didn't use the TURBO-1 line driver and my 1st Generation iPod sounds pretty good.

I would recommend using a group loop isolator to cut out any noise you might pick up while using the cigarette power adapter on the iPod.
