Just bought a used 04 fx35. I notice it has a power supply in the ash tray and also one in the center arm rest. Both power outlets appear to be linked to ignition switch. Power is on when car is running, power is off when car is off.

Is there an easy way to make the power outlet in the center armrest so it stays on when the car is turned off? My old Jeep had one like that and it was real handy for charging cell phone, blue tooth headset etc.

thanks

I want this on the FX as well. Considering I only plug in my iPod or a cell phone, I figure I should be able to do it safely on the FX. I've never run down the battery from this in 3 other cars.

Has anybody done it?

 Do this at you own risk. I have not done it - don't have the time and its too cold in the garage:) If you want the front ones active all the time - it is not as easy, but it can be done. ...
Ahh yes, now I remember why I keep putting it off! :eeeek: ::wink:

Thanks for the write-up though!
