I've been watching this a bit. It appears that Injen now has assigned P/Ns for the CAI mentioned in a previous post. The RD 1994 is listed for both the Murano and FX35. I'm going for it! along with the heat shield. Injen has several "quick click" dealers listed on their website. I called performance center and can get the CAI in polished finish for $285 (list $356), heat shield at $55 (list $68 ). Black powder coat adds about $8 for the CAI. Does any one know of discounts that may be available for members, that may be greater than ~20%?

Sweet! I'd love to see it when you get it. What area of town are you in? Need any help with the install?

:D Yes, I could certainly use some help on the install, as I have done nothing yet. I am stock. Live in Missouri City, Hwy 6 in Lake Olympia.
However when sifting through the details, it seems that contrary to their website info-- the RD1994 is for the Murano Front wheel drive and the RD1995 is for Our FXs. There seems to be some confusion about all wheel drive and RWD, but frankly I don't give a hoot. The guys (at Injen) said order the RD1995, so I did. Ordered mine 10 minutes ago. I am Pumped!!! Got the heat shield also. The Customer Service dude at Injen said the **tch is getting the stock one out. This is supposed to just "drop right in". Heard that one before. I should get them early next week. If you are interested -I would welcome the help. I can supply Beer, Ritas or (whithin the limits of the law) whatever you want for refreshments. Weekends are best for me; although , if you think we could get it done before sunset, generally 8:30-9:00. we could go for it sooner. I have no idea how long it will take.

I'm sure we can work something out. I'll PM you.

As for the fitment and difficulty, it shouldn't be hard at all (though I've done quite a few mods, so I'm used to it). I don't know what the deal is with all the part numbers, RWD/AWD, etc. It's all the same under the hood.

Hi guys, I'm Duy, the Injen rep. First thank you for choosing Injen, I'm confident you'll be pleased with your new system! In regards to installation, the hardest part is taking out the stock intake, the rest is pretty straight forward! :D

The right product number for the FX35 is RD1995. RD1994 is for the Nissan Murano. Unlike most companies who make a part and say it can be used with both vehicles with no testing done, we had both vehicles to do our extensive testing on. Although very similar, not all cars are the same!

I'm really excited about this new system! You can also find that, if you want to convert it and use it as a short ram, you can do that also. Keep an eye out for more products for the FX! It's a really fun car to drive!

Cheers! :p

i don't like to concede either, however the eventuallity of the whole matter in the past 4-5 weeks of going back and forth ,and the anticipated eom july install, seems to be even though at $240 Injen may LOOK good, it failed to utilize exsisting factory NEEDED parts like the center air scoop and the power duct to capitalize a forced/ram like air flow. When they chose to make that BEND and go down to an AIRLESS hole near fenderwell , they took themselves away from any frontal forced air - mistake! ! ! Looks like we lose "bling-bling/pretty" form for function. It's back to JWT vs. Stillen (with or without Z-tube mod.) both have proven higher %%% of satisfied users! ( + both of the older options are less $$ ) BYE BYE Injen - thanks for a noble try. ...we return you now to your regular , normal cai lives...

The short ram mode still wasn't attempted so all hope for InJen is still not completely lost. This mode can use the stock center air scoop and powerduct and appears to be just as simple as the Stillen/Z-tube or JWT setup. It would be interesting to see the results.
