Looks good. Why didnt you put the pieces on the steering wheel? Just curious.

so where did you get that kit and at what cost.
do you have to buy the whole kit or can you buy only the pieces you want

Thanks for the compliments. It took me awhile to find the kit I liked. I purchased it from Patrick Mayer at [email protected]. I don't remember for sure but I believe his kit included 35 or 37 pieces, the most of any kit around at the time. The price was around $200. I still haven't decided to put the pieces on the steering wheel as of yet, I kind ofl like the aluminum look. I'll post some more pics later.

is it real wood or some simulated (plastic) material

I like the aluminum on the wheel because it offers a nice contrast to the wood behind it. It also accentuates the few places where the aluminum trim still exists -- thereby harmoniously tying the whole thing together. Boy, I sound like an interior designer. You'll know you've gone to far, however, if you cover the pedals with maple too. :D

Agreed. :)

I have a kit on as well. I'll post pics once I get home. I went with Newport Burl, a very dark burl.

I've seen tons of pics of them. I thought they looked really good actually. Just depends on the color of the wood.
