A guy in my office is raving about the 40 to 60 mpg on his new Prius.

I understand that Lexus will be offerring a hybrid Rx330 something in a hybrid. Any rumors from Infiniti about a hybrid Fx that still has some semblance of power...?

The two issues that currently hurt hybrid powered cars with respect to performance are 1) excessive weight and 2) their inability to accelerate with constant power throughout the entire powerband. Until these two obstacles are overcome, I doubt a car like the FX, which stresses performance above all else, will adopt such a system.

In my humble opinion, Infiniti should adopt a hybrid car or SUV of its own just for competitive purposes, but not in their performance SUV lineup.

That car has been discussed in the acura forums. Looks ugly IMO and the asking price for that car might be 100K. Also, Toyota may being ysung that cars platform for the new Supra.
