This install was simple. Took off 4 or 5 screws and was very gentle not to pull on the wires.

We noticed that the fan is actually a little quieter than before. I seem to be running the fan on high more often cuz I do not realize it is on.

Yes, Four screws in a row as seen in pic 3 and 1 screw near where the passengers left foot would be, by the vent as seen in pic 4.
Behind the glovebox there is a white plastic door that opens from the right and is removed to insert the filter then the door is replaced.

okay-

mine's in::

observations??

1) you HAVTA unplug two connections to get the filter in, without crunching it up......

2) EVEN THOUGH I CANT READ JAPANESE (DIRECTIONS ARE NON-ENGLISH), I was able to put the foam strips on each solid end of the filter , so............. now............. which way do you install said filter??? i went foamy end in..........

3) not sure how well it works....... on my way back from the gym, i could STILL smell krispy kreme's factory making donuts....... (they even had the 'fresh' light on....)-- not a good place to visit post-workout...lol

started my car up, and the airbag light went out, so id guess no....

ps- i put the foam on the closed edges, per the pic on the instructions (covers the nissan text)

am i wrong, or does it not matter??

WE NEED a 2k4 owner to check and see...

also, let us know which way the dang thing is designed to fit.. (definately a right and wrong there..imo)

hey TJ!!

lol I just got home from work.... I'd check for you guys but it's friggin' 11:30 at night and it's freezing outside. Ask Particle, he's on the left coast and it's only 8:30 for him. Otherwise, it's gotta wait till tomorrow ;)

Just finished this 5 minutes ago. On my '04 45 there is a sixth screw under the kick panel. After taking the other 5 out, the glove box basically fell out when I removed the sixth.

Oh yeah, make sure you have your pliers handy to release the yellow connector from the glove box. You will also have to disconnect a little white connector (just a little snap type connector).

I just put in one on my 2003 FX45. There were a total of 6 screws. I had to remove the trim on the door sill and toward the right of the feet area to get to that 6th screw.

I did not break any trim tabs, like I did so often with Fords, nice. Broken trim tabs suck. No more dust storms blowing into the cabin, woohoo.
