I sure notice some extra horsepower when the a/c is off. I wish I was able to run the vehicle without a/c for the majority, but Dallas is just too dang hot. Anyway, it's more fun to drive when the a/c is off and the windows down listening to the exhaust note.

Hmmm...I saw no difference at the track with the AC on or off. I'd bet if you timed it, you'd find the same. The minimal amount of power that the AC uses is probably less than 1% of the engines hp, and from what I've read hear and on FA previously, it's not using any when you stomp on it. Anyone else verify this one way or the other?

I have not noticed any differance.

Yes, I notice the difference on the highway -- but it's subtle. I've owned some 4-bangers that would lunge you forward in your seat when the compressor kicked in - very sad. It's also my understanding that at WOT it turns the compressor off.
