I would hate to put one on and have it not do much. Specifically, how far up the windshield does it keep bugs off?

i just bought piniti's, but since its still wintery around here, no bugs yet to test

i really got it to deflect rocks from chipping the front of the hood and hitting to front top part of the hood.

I hear ya. I have the VentureShield clear bra installed but dont want to have bugs on my windshield all summer. Just moved a little ways out of town and my rivers edge country highway in the summer is going to be brutal.

I have had mine on for a while now, not too much bugs but do help deflect some small rocks hitting the hood. My hood looks good but my front bumper needs painting. Never tail another FX those goodyears will spray rocks all over the place.
