Anyone considered replacing their horn with something else? The OEM horn sounds a bit wimpy IMO.
I tried to get it done, but never pressed on the issue. I'd brought in the FA posting and showed it to the service "incoming" guy (manager, I guess). Despite that, the tech hit the horn button, heard something, pronounced my horn "OK", and called it a day. No biggie, I was there for a periodic service anyway.MustGoFastR said:There was a thread about this on FA a while back. ... several others inquired about it, but not sure if anyone else had it done.
I was thinking something like a Kenworth's air horn. j/kMustGoFastR said:You could always get the sports horn set for the 350Z; don't know if you want your FX to sound like a European sports car though.
"Joke" my ass! One thing (OK; one thing of many- I can admit I'm irritableparticlefx said:I was thinking something like a Kenworth's air horn. j/k
They honk if they see the cross traffic light turn yellow.particlefx said:It's been said that one of the smallest measures of time is the time between a new green light to when a NYC driver honks his horn.
The low note horn off the QX4 is $46.25 at Infiniti-parts.com if anybody wants to do it themselves; just splice the leads in with one of the existing horns and mount it someplace.kcrudup said:I tried to get it done, but never pressed on the issue. Is the QX4 horn significantly louder? I've been giving some thought to looking for a JC Whitney upgrade...something to put a scare into small animals and children. :twisted:MustGoFastR said:The low note horn off the QX4 is $46.25 at Infiniti-parts.com if anybody wants to do it themselves; just splice the leads in with one of the existing horns and mount it someplace.
