Live in Colorado and as the title says, the heater only seems to heat the car when the engine revs above 1500. I've confirmed my radiator fluid is topped off. Do I need to look at replacing the heater core? That's a no-fun job for sure.

Thanks

There are only a few things that could cause this issue.
1. The heater core, or the coolant path, could be partially plugged. If you can disconnect the hoses, you could try back flushing it with water.
2. The water pump could be on the way out.
3. The coolant level could be low, or there may be air in the system.

Thanks DenisMcG. Do you know how I can bleed air out of the system (if that's the case)? Where would you recommend I disconnect the hoses to try back flushing?

The bleed valve should be neat the firewall on the passenger side. Just google what you need to do and you should find some examples. G35 and M35 are the same engine as yours.
