The BRABUS SV 12 engine is based on the V12 bi-turbo engine from the current Mercedes S 600. Before implanting the engine into the engine bay of the G-Class the displacement of the three-valve unit is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters thanks to a new crankshaft with longer stroke, increased cylinder bore, and larger pistons. In addition the cylinder heads are re-machined, custom camshafts installed and the engine electronics precision-calibrated to the new configuration. To top it all off BRABUS developed a custom-tailored stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and the BRABUS sport rear muffler with four exhaust tips in the form of dual chrome side pipes on either side. The BRABUS S V12 increased-displacement engine in the G-Class body produces 610 hp / 449 kW at 5,300 rpm and delivers an enormous peak torque of 1,006 Nm, available from a low 1,750 rpm.

Thus equipped the BRABUS G V12 delivers acceleration performance absolutely unheard of for true-blooded SUVs: In combination with a special five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive the exclusive off-roader zooms to 100 km/h from rest in just 5.3 seconds. Top speed is an electronically limited 230 km/h.

This impressive performance necessitates the use of king-size 9.5Jx20 BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels. The perfect tires come from technology partner Yokohama in the form of the AVS V 801 high-performance tires in size 295/45 R 20.

For optimal handling on- and off-road BRABUS equips the special model G V12 with a comfortable custom suspension. To keep the enormous performance safely in check at all times the BRABUS high-performance brake system is also part of the BRABUS standard equipment. This system harmonizes perfectly with the standard ABS. The front axle features vented and grooved brake discs in size 328 x 37 mm and 4-piston aluminum fixed calipers. On the rear axle the system comes with 2-piston aluminum fixed calipers on 272-mm discs. The external appearance of the new BRABUS G V12 includes the BRABUS facelift 2005 for the Mercedes G-Class with new sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement parts. The BRABUS front apron with two integrated auxiliary headlights gives the SUV an even more striking face. The rear is refined with the BRABUS rear bumper.

As a further visual as well as functional upgrade the BRABUS designers developed custom end caps for the standard running boards of the G-Class. They also fit in perfectly with the overall appearance and feature integrated entrance lights. Pushing a button on the standard keyless-entry remote or opening the door activates LED lights on each side, which illuminate the running boards in the dark.

The interior of the BRABUS G V12 is exclusive and highly customized: Among the special appointments is an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, stainless-steel sill plates with BRABUS logo and a hand-crafted BRABUS fully leather interior made from especially soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather.

Upon customer request BRABUS converts the G-Class into a fully functioning office on wheels, or integrates a custom-tailored high-tech multimedia system with state-of-the-art communication technology, DVD changer, TV tuner, Playstation II game console and eight-inch LCD monitors in the front headrests. Rear-seat sound is enjoyed with wireless infrared headphones.

The BRABUS Internet system provides an Internet connection for the COMAND system of the G-Class. Via its own Internet platform it connects to numerous content providers and provides the full range of e-mail communication. In addition BRABUS upgrades the COMAND system upon request with a digital DVB-T television tuner that provides optimal TV reception in areas served exclusively by digital TV.

BRABUS adds even more new, exclusive highlights to the interior of the luxury sedan. The interior designers from BRABUS created an interior crafted from the finest leather and Alcantara, further enhanced by color-contrasted decorative seams.

The BRABUS developers further designed additional interesting features for the standard entertainment system of the Maybach. The 16:9 color monitors of the BRABUS equipment are integrated into the back of the front seatbacks and measure 15.2 inches (production: 9 inches).

At the push of a button the Maybach is transformed into a luxurious office on wheels: The monitors serve as computer screens for a computer custom-developed for use in a car. It features an 80 Gigabyte hard drive and is connected to the Internet at up to 1.5 times the speed of ISDN using a W-LAN and a fourplex GPRS router. For comfortable operation the system features a handy wireless keyboard and a wireless optical gyro mouse.

Externally a Maybach refined by BRABUS can be distinguished by its custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels with 21-inch diameter.

BRABUS further refines the elegant lines of the Maybach with two auxiliary headlights integrated stylishly into the production front apron using two precise-fitting inserts. The auxiliary headlights function as daytime running lights.

BRABUS makes the Maybach even more superior with the BRABUS SV12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine. The twelve-cylinder bi-turbo engine delivers a maximum power output of 640 hp / 471 kW at 5,100 rpm and a gigantic peak torque of 1,026 Nm, available from 1,750 rpm.

Performance of the luxury sedan benefits accordingly: With BRABUS SV 12 engine the Maybach 57 accelerates bin just 4.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h. Top speed is an electronically limited 300 km/h.
