Finally got the tint done today. Took them 5 hours to do all the windows (not on front). Adding in my drive time, it took 9.5 hr. Looks GREAT not too dark, I thought with the car being black and the inside as well, I did not want that cave feeling. We had some people checking the car out and Im sure they didn't see me looking at them. Llmuar the brand, Centrex the type

remember not roll the windows down for a week, put duct tape over window controls or you will by mistake bring them down.

Today was the first sunny day driving with the tint. I was quite surprised that it was actually kinda hard to see the speedo with sunglasses on.

And here I was thinking it was not dark enough. :D

How many percent did you put on the front ? Did you take off the rear one and install it again ??
I think (if I remember right), 17% on fronts and 22% on the rears.
I did not take anything off, the tint is in the glass.

From one of my getting pulled over posts.

He then proceeds to tell me the law says 20% tint and I told him that is what the tint shop sold me.
(All my husband is thinking is don’t ask for proof of ins cuz its at home)
So he proceeds to measure the front driver window and says it reads 12% and that is +or- 2% plus the oem tint of 2% so rounding up to about 16% so he said that was ok. Then my husband says while you are here lets measure the back windows too. The back window reads 6.6%.
He then says this car smells good and how new is it? Then he said something about individual officers’ interpretation of the law and 20% front windows or 20% any window

ok let me get this right. The smaller percentage the darker the tint becomes right ? Or is it the larger percentage ? So did you double tint on the rear ?
The % is the amount of outside light permitted through the tint, so the lower the number, the darker the tint.
