Front Seat Swap - 2006+ into earlier models

Can you put seats from a 2006 or later model into a 2005 or older model without much hassle?

What's involved, other than obtaining seats?

The cost to repair my driver's seat is almost the same as a pair of used seats I found locally, so wondering if this is a direct bolt in. Additionally, I find the 2006+ seats more comfortable :)

Anyone? I'm sure I'm not the first person to look into this...

As of last week, I replaced both front seats in my 04 FX35 with 06 seats. The 06 seats are a tad bit wider than the 04 seats but fit well. The passenger seat was a direct replacement. The wiring was the same, so the side controller works flawlessly.
However, the driver seat was a different story. The electric harness is different. The connector on the 04 harness doesn't fit the controller connector on the 06 seat panel. So as it stands, the original seat controller is hanging out of the side of the seat. Everything works great as it should, up, down, back, forth, heat, lumbar inflating, etc... It's just a bit of an eyesore to me. I will look for a reputable automotive electrician to match up the wires on the 06 panel or see what Infiniti can do.
