The dvd player in the FX reads DVD just fine, no skipping image.
but it has problem reading the VCD. The image skips so much that makes me dizzy.

What can i do?
Do you think the lens cleaning cd work?

Correct me if I'm wrong but VCD is an inferior quality compression. And the DVD player in the FX isn't compatible to play VCD's.

FYI. VCD is the predecessor of DVD. They're both MPEG. VCD has a very high compression, and thus low quality and able to fit on 1 or 2 CD's. So any DVD player should play VCD without any problem.

It's probably not a dirty lens. Since the data density of a DVD is much higher and it reads them fine, the problem is probably the substrate of the CD, i.e. some recordable CDs (and recorcable DVDs) from different manufacturers have better results than others.
