My FX is in the shop for my first oil change and I was having them fix the DVD player because it stopped working a couple weeks ago. My service advisor told me it was getting power, but not turning on, so they are ordering a new on overnight from Panasonic. I can't remember hearing of anyone's DVD player breaking. Am I one of the first? 9/04 build date.

p.s. The G sedan loaner is alot faster than I was expecting. interior not as nice as the FX, but quick.

I actually have never even turned on my dvd player. I guess I should make sure it is working

I didn't use it that much either, but went to check out a DVD I got for free of BMW films(the ones you can download) and nothing.
The dealer said it had power to it, but wouldn't turn on, so they got a new one overnighted from Panasonic. Replaced and works fine now.
