I remember that there was a post regarding removal of the passenger side door panel. Can someone point me to it or post the manual instructions for how to remove the panel?

Can anyone tell me how to unhook the electrical wiring from the finisher? I can't figure how they unclip.

Once you get the door panel off there's electrical wiring connecting 2 points. The window switch and the step light. You just have to unclip them by pressing on the clip portion and then pulling to seperate the harnesses.

Thanks, There are actually 3 connection points. Door switch, door handle light and the step light. I took off the panel and put some weatherstripping around the areas that touch the frame. Had a rattle which I think was coming from the area around the passenger door armrest. Put stripping around various places that looked like they might rub against the door frame. So far it seems like it is fixed. Getting to those clips that hold the door finisher to the frame was a bear. Actually had to pull the finisher and have the clips just "rip" out. Kind of broke one but was able to get it to work with a little duck tape to stay in place.

I'm not much on electrical setups , but the door light basically had a connector that was attached to the door finisher. You disconnect at the connector thingy to remove the door finisher. From the connector the wires rannto the bulb housing thingy.

Depending on what you want to do, it looked like you could easily mod from the connector to the housing.

I also put weatherstripping on the rear door panels. Worked like a charm, no more buzzing. :D

IF you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself! Dealer could never replicate the problem... Or didnt' bother to even try.

I haven't heard anything from the rear as yet, but I won't hesitate to do it if need be. Do you have any trouble getting to the various clips and "prying" them out? I tried to get a screw driver wrapped with a rag under them but was very difficult.

if you're talking about the clips that hold the panel onto the door you don't need to 'get' to them.

All I did was remove the screws under the hand grip on the panel and then just pull on the panel with my hands. The clips come off with the panel.
