Currently in the process of installing the Akebono BBK from the fx50 onto my 09 fx35 awd. Captured some video on how to easily remove the wheel hub assemblies without damaging anything or separating the wheel hub from the bearing.

Seems like a slide puller would be much easier. The two I did came off with some moderate effort, but much faster than what you did there. Soaked the mating surface with some PB Blaster, let it sit for 15 mins, then yanked away. Another way ive seen is with an air hammer from the back, similar to where you were hitting. Came off in like 15 seconds.

And you cant really seperate the hub from the bearing. Its one assembly.

But good video. Shows how you can do it with basic tools. Unfortunately the older the FX is, the harder they are to get off. You got lucky on a sorta new FX .

Is the hub nut 28mm? I dont have the correct socket size to remove that, so i'll need to make a run to the store. any tips on how to remove w/o impact tools? and i think the four bolts on the back of the hub are 19mm (2006 fx35 awd)
