The factory Infiniti hood deflector is a beautiful piece instead of the five visible metal screws that secure it to the underhood mounts. So, I devised a way using Infiniti parts to make a far more polished appearance. The 1993-1996 J30's use a combination of screw, plastic cup washer and plastic finishing cap to secure the bottom of the interior door panels. So I got five of them rounded up and used the cup/cap combination to hide the mounting screws. The screws that came with the hood deflector have a little bit too large a head to sit inside the cup so I bought five stainless screws from the hardware store. The result is a flush look that should have been there from the start.
