Here is my SPL parts intake, which consists of an aftermarket Z-tube (available in polished aluminum or Jet-coated finish) with Samco connectors, mated with the JWT cone and shield. Beautiful look, nice fitment, and great, low-key sound. Went well with my full Nismo exhaust.

We also added a set of his chromed aluminum caps for the various tanks/reservoirs underhood.

The pictures Kuah has up on his site are not the best resolution and really don't do the parts justice. I can say as a long time customer of Kuah's (the owner of SPL) that not only are his parts of the best quality, but his customer service, attention to detail and ability to source hard-to-find J-spec parts is top-notch. He has a stellar record in other sectors of the Nissan community, particularly the Z and Silvia communities, and is branching out into the FM platrform sector. Check out his website for more info:

I forgot to check the factory spec on the OEM cap - I wanted to check it before installing the 1.3 kg/cm2 pressure Nismo cap on it. If it is too low, I *may* not put the Nismo cap on it. If it is 0.9 like most I have seen, I will go ahead and do it. I believe there are some Nissan application with 0.8 and 0.6. I'm not so sure I want to crank up the pressure another 10 psi on a low-pressure system.

That dirt on your filter was from the air inlet tube? If so, the factory inlet tube works pretty good.

Sharp eye! It actually looks much more pronounced in the picture than in person.

You can tell that I "modified" the G35 JWT shield at the factory inlet tube where it usually relies on the two gaskets to just , well, mate, by busting out the old reliable black duct tape and making sure I had an airtight seal. Must be working!

I was wondering will the tube work with the stillen intake instead of the wolf tech. I like the look and thinking about replacing my z-tube.

For those who feel heat soak is a concern, get the Jet-coat pipe instead of the polished pipe. Both finishes look sharp.

No - the included silicone connectors do the job. It is a very neat and clean install.

I see you have a billet oil filler cap, and what looks like a powdercoated (Crawford?) plenum. Nice setup! Other than the parts I posted, I don't think SPL has anything else currently available (yet) besides exhaust components (cat-backs, y-pipes.) You might give Kuah a call and tell him what you are looking for.

I was bugging him about a Samco hose kit for us, but he's thinking the hoses are longer than the current available VQ kit. Maybe if we hammer on SPL/Samco enough, something can be worked out? It can't possibly be that much different than the Z kit.

Now, there is always the Greddy TD-05 18G kit. It will certainly breathe better, but as far as mpg...... :!:

If I am understanding you correctly, you are asking if it includes the connector from the plenum to the intake tube. The answer is yes. It also includes the connector from the tube to the mass airflow sensor. These are the only two connectors necessary with this intake tube. If you check out the first picture in the first post of the thread, these are the two blue connectors.
