500 HP with 515 lb-ft of shove resulting in 4.9 sec 0-60MPH, and 167MPH max speed; adapted suspension, beefed-up braking system, and - at last - a RVC. All for a " modest " $109,200 smackers.

That is one nice package except the price. Maybe $70k+/- would sound more reasonable.

for that kind of money I'd get a FX45 and two year old 996 4S...

No matter how much money you spend on a suv it will always feel like an suv and never a sports car.

You indeed can buy a loaded V6 and V8 FX both for the price of one of this rigs. But I don't suppose it bothers Porsche marketing types too much. It occupies its own niche and is aimed at small buying segment. ( Which lately includes a fair number of my neighbors  . ) So what to sweat about ? Technically, this swamp-friendly hog offers performance only slightly inferior to the upcoming BMW M5 that itself isn't unlike a Ferrari with 4 doors. Think about it 8) .
