Installed the cargo cover last weekend. Very simple to install. Took about 1/2 hour. The cover really rattled a lot when we drove so my husband added some extra felt to quiet the rattle.

Piece that hangs down from the hatch. Fills in the gap.

Nice! Thanks for the pics, looks great. With the felt in place, does it make any noise at all?

The cover looks awesome, however I have to ask: why do you need it? If the intent is to hide the stuff in the back from outside "peepers" then that's fine, but our windows are so dark that I can't see inside anyway. Further, the rear seats block the views from the front windows as well. I suppose the cover would hide stuff from the rear seat passengers, and it could also cut down on some rattles. Is that all?

I'd love to get the cover for my FX but I'm having trouble converting my "want" into a "need" (and if I can't convince myself, I'll never be able to convince my wife).

I just can't believe it's not standard equipment... it's standard on the Murano isnt it?

We thought that with the cover in place it cuts down the reflective light in the cargo area. The sun is pretty bright here in northern New Mexico @ 7000 ft.
Also we hide stuff back there from our child.
We just bought a heavy indian blanket to keep in the cargo area, also to quiet down any road noise or packages rattling around, and the blanket is brightly colored.
Yes, i think this is standard in the murano and rx330.
shame on infiniti for this and the in cabin filter not being included.
:?

The 2 negative comments of my FX among a ton of praises:

1 - What the **** is wrong with your seats?
2 - Where's the cargo area cover? (All coming from SUV owners)
