Hello,

Just purchased a new FX45 high tech and want to put a new sound system in it. I was wondering if anyone out there has done this or if anyone has any pictures floating around of people that have. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks

The Bose head unit feeds signal to the amp, which is in the rear hatch area. I think what you need to do is tap into those wires from the HU and drive the aftermarket amps using a speaker line to rca line driver(?). I am considering to do the same with mine as I have a bunch of pro audio components I have left over from my old car (Soundstream Reference amps, Polk MMs).

Sub/Amp upgrade

What I'd really like to do is mount an amp in the spare wheel well & a single 8" sub in the factory location. If possible I'd get power from the rear 12V receptacle & the speaker inputs from the existing sub inputs. I'm happy with the overall factory system & sound stage but would enjoy a little more bass.

Hello,

Sounds like a good plan.. I pick my FX up Tuesday and the first place I am going is to my stereo shop. I think 4 12's in the truck in a custom fiberglass enclosure will do the truck justice. I will keep everyone posted.

Any updates on the stereo upgrade 4tyson? I'm itching to put my amps to use and buy a nice 10 or 12" to put in the spare well.
