Really guy's I used to hang out here as well as the "Other Site" and In my experience here I found that questions here went unanswered and many members were quite rude in their responses.
The members at the "Other Site" are always friendly, courteous and helpfull.

As to the English or grammar not always being correct on the "Other Site" we have over 7,000 members from all over the world.

I have found that the majority of INFINITISCENE members are well educated professionals myself included.(My Credentials-- President Board of Directors Big Bear City CSD, Vice Chair Bear Valley Fire Dept, Director Big Bear Regional Water Authority).

I would challenge anyone looking for information on their FX to ask the question at both sites and see the difference for themselves.

Well said ^^^^ to Mtnfx

I agree 100%, I have been a member of both the sites in question since around 2008 and I have found the other site to be more friendly, helpful and informative. I have since met many of the people from that other site and they have all been very mature, enthusiasts who love their rides and will bend over backwards to help you.

Getting back to the site... the great thing about this site is you can search on "Chrome Fog light trim" and see pictures of what i just decribed. I tried the other site a few times - i can't find anything on that site amongst all the ad's.
I'm confused, but here you go:
infinitiscene.com/forum/threads/17573-Chrome-Fog-Light-Bezels
Have more questions? Visit the scene.

I think it's cute how we have a couple of English scholars in this thread.
"codeggs" prefers to communicate with others "that can put a couple of sentences together in actual, real english from a dictionary."
The words, "real" and "actual," have the same meaning in the context, yet you juxtapose them as if they're different.
Capitalize the language you speak, for Christ's sake. This is the guy calling a group of people "wannabe know-it-alls."
For whatever reason, "kieranlavin" claims to have grown up with an English teacher. The first and last sentences of his second post has a punctuation error.
1'LL STAHP DERE CUZ MOMMA AINT TEACH U RITE.
To answer you question "medic": choose whichever, you believe, fits right.

I digress.
Dennis, your post was uncalled for and you know it. Why not send a quick PM to the user?
I wouldn't be surprised if you get banned, in this forum, for that (not trying to offend any moderators.)
Gotta love how "codeggs" judges "kids" that place their own money on the cars they love.
An enthusiast loves what they do.
An audiophile loves music; therefore, they'll place high quality sub-woofers in their vehicle.
Whether somebody wants to add a turbo/supercharge their engine, plasti-dip their ride, or ****.. mount 32" rims; you're in NO right to judge.
Being an automobile enthusiast, I believe that adds character and makes the vehicle more personalized to the owner.

You have chrome light bezels, which isn't eye candy to most.
You KNEW the bezel lined up with your older vehicle, YET you had the dealer install them for you?
So you spent 1/3 of a grand on the chrome pieces. If it were me, I would've attempted the install myself.
But HEY, that's me. Maybe it's because I'm a "kid." Who knows? Different strokes for different folks.
If anyone is snobby, it's you. It's people like you that prevent others, who prefer to be different, from joining the org.

Speedmaster, you don't live in NYC. Lol.
Note: Kieranlavin, "NYC" means "New York City." "Lol" means "laugh out loud." "OP" means "original poster." "PM" means "private message."
Finally, I would like to give "RIPnFX" a shout-out for answering the OP's question, as well as suggesting an alternative.
Just a simple answer.

I believe both, the org and the scene, have valuable information. Dennis didn't point out that both forums have their advantages/disadvantages. OP, please keep that in mind.

In my opinion, this thread was a fail, and it should be closed. OP has had his questions answered.

I love how this thread about politely asking someone to ask a question in a helpful manner has turned into this. Apparently people have personal hangups about any kind of structure. But oh well. He got his answer to the best of anyones knowledge here and people to try to start a forum war for whatever asenine reason.

Since the actual subject (once we found out what it was) of this topic has run its course, apparently it is more fun for some to play forum politics in it. And what the ****, I'll oblige them. This is just too funny now.

As I said before I could care less what forum you go to. Some like one, some like the other. Some profess the other site is the best since sliced bread. I would ask so what the **** are you doing here then? Perhaps those who bash us and suck the teet of the other place should be banned from here? I personally say maybe, but thats not what we do here. Just go there and stay there. If you want to start ****, then theres a problem. If you cant act with respect that you wish to receive from others, then bye bye. And even if that means a temper tantrum when we ask you to ask a question PROPERLY. Boo hoo. This forum has rules. Written rules, and unwritten common sense rules. If you arent mature enough to understand them, then go away.

I really have no problem with the other forum. theres plenty of internet for both. I also know that many who are on the Org bashing for asking someone to ask a proper question also have no idea about the history of how and why the scene was started, which is pretty funny given the topic at hand. But we wont get into that as its water under the bridge.

So g0ldm4g3 as it is my job to approve someones first post, normally I wouldnt approve one like yours. I mean hey- what a great first post- stir the pot in a discussion you know nothing about, on a forum you know nothing about  . But I am a fair person, and everyone has a right to contribute in a discussion, as you do have some logic in your response (although you challenge some long standing and highly contributing members here as your first post- not a smart thing to do). So let me respond:

Well said. It was a poor response, and way ruder than I "apparently" was in my initial response. Perhaps he should be banned. Its only a simple click away. But as I said, everyone deserves to participate. This person chose to be an a$$hole and make this into a forum flame war. Again this forum is not about censoring mentions of other sites like some out there are. Yanimoe's post really is inconsequential, and his post count here really shows that his opinions are to be taken with little merit. Any forum user out there usually looks at such crap from a person with low counts and dismisses it. So its just rubbish. Should he be banned? Maybe, but he is inconsequential so for me it just gets ignored. That can change though...

Not everyone has the skills/tools/time to install things for themselves. Perhaps you do. I have also seen people that "know what theyre doing" and end up damaging their vehicles and paying someone to fix them (and I personally have fixed many who have done this). Some people believe its best left to an expert. Does that mean they are not an enthusiast? Just because a person doesnt turn a wrench, doesnt mean they arent passionate about their vehicle. People seem to think that way and look down on some that dont DIY. **** After 20+ years in car audio/electronics and more in the auto industry, many times I dont feel like dong stuff myself. And I have every tool you could want, and all the skills to do it. But Maybe family time or work is more important, or I just dont have the time. Am I not worthy enough to be an enthusiast?

Ummm not what Kieran was alluding to. He is alluding to the lack of grammar and general language skills by some who post here. Its a sign of the times with our society of younger people growing up texting and using broken english to have conversation. And just because his mother was an english teacher, apparently you have a problem that he didnt use a period at the end of his sentence? OOOOHHHH big deal....

While everyone seems to forget that I answered him as well, you praise RIPs answer, which is just as inconclusive as mine. Where as I gave a reasonably sound opinion, he just says its "impossible to get", and just suggests the OP get something else. Not great help really- give someone a suggestion that they werent looking for. And I would bet that if you went to a parts house where these Vettels are sold, i'm sure there are actual part numbers for these parts and can be ordered. Wouldnt it be logical? If someone owns one of these and has an issue where they need a replacement (damage/theft/whatever) wouldnt you think they could? That is considered a worthy response? Opinion, yes, but not a great response.

Exactly.

Yes it was, but it is still an important conversation. It drifted away from its initial topic early. But no need to close it. We believe in behaving and conducting ourselves here like adults. Some choose to be childish in their responses, and bring up their personal vendettas (you know who you are). To those people, just please go away. But we do not censor here so there is nothing wrong with discussion.

Thanks to all for reminding me why I think LONG and HARD before chosing to reply to ANYTHING whether it's a simple comment or trying to help someone with something; this forum or ANY forum for that matter. I have way better things to worry about on a daily basis than if some idiot can't find an answer to his stupid question. I will gladly go back to not bothering myself with the stupidity and just treating it like it is; just another car. I thought the FX community might be different than the other car communities I've been involved with over the years but they always wind up being the same... a bunch of idiots bickering over stupid sh*t.

Finally, to those who have been silent here on this forum for a long time but suddenly feel an urge to reply here... please don't take this personally but you're morons. Don't text me, don't e-mail me, don't call me, don't PM me.

No that it matters... but it wasn't a problem and it wasn't the period.

Yes, I got frustrated when I saw the message about my long post being reviewed by moderators lol
and yes, I know it's not smart to challenge a long-standing member as my first post.
I scroll on the org, at times, with/without login when I can't find an answer on the scene.
References have been made, BUT I don't have FULL knowledge about the members on the org being split resulting in the birth of the scene.
I have at least 2000 posts on the scene, which is a forum about FXs.
That's what we all have in common... knowledge/interest in FXs. In my opinion, that's what matters.

It just pisses me off that Dennis starts this random fire, then cups of gasoline were thrown.
Codeggs should've just attacked Dennis, as opposed to "kids," like me, who throw "****" on our cars.
Earned my '06 when I was 17/18.. 21 now and still love it.
