Buying a 2009 FX35

Hey guy’s hope everyone is doing well. I’m getting a used FX35 09’. The car runs very smooth and everything seems to be good. It’s owned by my aunt who herself is the first owner and has driven the car just to her work and back home on very clear roads. Only thing i have noticed is that the car, once in like a couple months, when started stalls as soon as it starts. But turns right back on when we start it again. Doesnt matter if the car is cold or warm. This only happens once a couple months. Is it something to be worried about? Also when the RPM’s are lower than usual after the car starts the roof light dim’s a bit. I dont know if that’s supposed to matter but can someone please help me out. Love the 09’ FX, just want to be sure before i buy it.

Not sure if you should be concerned but you could plug it in and see if any codes come up. You may have an alternator that is on the way out.

my g37 and my fx50 both do the same thing periodically. sometimes I push the gas when it first starts up, it revs up and then it's fine. It's seldom enough that I haven't put much thought into it, it's been going on for years.
thank you guys for the response. The problem has started getting worse. So after looking at the cars history it seems like due to not having its air filters changed for a while, i think i’ll need to replace that and get the throttle body cleaned. Let’s see. Not to sure what it is. So the car only does it when the engine is warm and yes one tap on the paddle when i start causes the problem to go away until i shut it off. So yeah. Let’s hope it’s not a big issue.
The fact that the car starts right back up after stalling is a good sign, but it's still worth investigating to make sure there are no underlying issues.

Regarding the dimming of the roof light when the RPM's are lower than usual, it could potentially be related to an electrical issue or a fluctuation in the car's power supply. Again, it's best to have a mechanic take a look and provide their expert opinion.

On a related note, have you considered covered auto transport as an option for transporting the car if you decide to go ahead with the purchase? It can provide added protection during transit, especially for a car that you're buying from a family member. It's always good to explore different options to ensure a smooth buying and transportation process.
