Does any one else have a problem with CD's skipping in the cool/cold weather? I had the same issues last fall/winter. In the summer it was fine. It has nothing to do with the ride either, the thing skips when it is in park. Thanks.

Doesn't make any logical sense to me, esp. with the weather you are probably having in the NY/NJ area now, 50s-60s? One thing to be in the 10s-20s or 90s-100s, but no excuse for that.

Are you playing real CDs or burned ones?

I wonder if you've got condensate on your discs that forms as they heat up in the player? Last Winter I was seeing someone who lived in the Mohave desert (it can get to freezing there at night) and never really had this problem (but I've seen reports of it on FA).

99.9% of the discs I own are burnt (I usually re-burn discs I buy so's I can add CD-Text titles to 'em- the burning SW I use does that automatically if they're in the CDDB database).
