That STB is oem by agent, they can put official logo on it.
I paid a little more for this Infiniti STB though

It's very robust & do improve body roll a little.
(I've never thought a STB can help that before)

Here's another STB pic from our member

Why is the intake tube wrapped in roll bar foam?

Also, for the cross bar of the STB, is that a solid piece or boxed aluminum? If boxed, how thick are the walls?

I was referring to the design (sorry; operating on three hours of sleep). Can't really see much from the pic. Where is the filter located and where does it draw air from? Got a website for the manufacturer with specs and additional pics? Any performance numbers?

check out:

specifically:

FWIW, I'm not too crazy about the design, nor the theory behind the 90* bends at the end of the carbon filter.

Hmm, that looks very promising, actually. It's designed like the Groupe M carbon intake, not quite as pretty, but less than half the price. It uses a sealed intake box with flexible ducting that draws air form the location of your choosing (like right behind the lower grill opening). I've stated numerous times that I thought a design such as this would be the best choice for an intake. It also hooks up like the Stillen or Popcharger in that it keeps the MAF in the stock location, then just drop in a Z-tube and you're in business. So who's gonna try it? :D

Compteech CAI designed like that in a closed airbox with a air duct drawing cold air from the front of the car...nice design.

Thanks you guys for already answered it so well ! :D

as MustgoFastR said,
(1)Groupe M carbon intake is pricy, BMC is then an alternative.
(2)keep MAF in stock position
(3)FI compatible

I enjoy your discussion of CAI, before put BMC on
I read this forum again & again.
