Ideally for cost effective modding, it would be best to do all your research, know what you want, then order @ the best price , possibly from one/best source (helps keep ship. to min.) So lets get some feedback in current day market , @ July - Sept. here is the list: 1. CAI - Injen + shield? , Stillen w/Z tube , or JWT w/Z. 2. Crawford Plenum. 3. U.R. crank pully (or kit?). 4. Eibach (or H&R) low. Springs. 5. Strut tower brace - Stillen. 6. (for those with DEEP pockets) Super Charger! Stillen - ATI - Vortech.
You sure seem to have the intake of air covered but unless you can get that air out just as efficiently, you will be hurting yourself a bit. You need to stick a good exhaust system in there somewhere.
Here's my take on mods:
1) CIA -which every set-up works best for the $$. Still like to see some hard dyno numbers on the different set-ups.
2) Springs- H&R probably. Heard good things about those and I have had Eibachs in the past.
3) Rear sway bar on my 2WD to make the handling more neutral.
4) True dual exhaust - Full cat back just custom built locally. I'll use all stainless piping and mufflers while retaining the stock tips. Much cheaper than anything I have seen on-line. Probably $500 max and half the price of any "kit" out there.
5) Plenum. Hmmmm....just not sure about this yet. A lot of $$ for just a little bit of HP. Same for the pulleys, you may see 1-2 hp there.
6) 6-speed manual tranny conversion. I have been looking at it and I know it can be done!! Just need to source a wrecked G35 coupe and salvage the tranny, clutch assembly, shifter, and pedals. Ok,ok, I might be dreaming a bit it is very feasible.
1-4 I hope to do sooner than later.
