Best Exhaust Upgrade for Stock

What will be the best & least expensive way to upgrade the stock exhaust for better HP? Cost is a factor...I'm broke! :(

Any advice will be appreciated.

The cheapest, lightest, and one of the best performing exhausts is the Nismo. It is also one of the only ones which will fit the FX35.

I installed it on my car but together with the high-flow cats, it was too loud for my wife. I'm selling it for $850. It is normally $950 on the Internet. PM me if you are interested. I have only had the exhaust on my car for 15 miles.
What he said is true and he's selling at a good price, but if it's HP you want to add, the exhaust is not the best place to do it (ours is pretty free-flowing as-is); you'll only get 5-9HP and more sound than anything.

If you want a decent boost in power, I'd go for the Crawford plenum @ $395 (9HP peak, 19 @ redline). The Stillen intake and Z-tube will get you more gains than an exhaust for about $200 (and go great with the plenum). If you're dead set on doing something on the exhaust end, High flow cats will give you more of a boost than a cat-back system as well. I'd recommend the Crawfords.

agree with the above, but.....

keep in mind, my stance is for/from the G35, but still, here's my .02

the plenum is good (not great, but good)... it WILL make more power (skeptical if its more than single digits at any rpm though) when in combination with other stuff.....

id look for a Y pipe prior to a full system..... that price for the NISMO setup is good, i think, and their stuff is about the best around (quality-wise).....

i also second the crawford cats (installedd em last week; can tell a difference in combo w/ a full catback replacement system too)

most of these bolt-on mods are minimal in gains (some do NOTHING too though), but when combined with others, make a difference....

Plenum is a good start unless you plan to go blown by Stillen ;-). The supercharger mounts where the plenum goes.

I recommend the Crawfords too for performance, but not for fit. I had to remove one of the heat-shields with a chisel. After hearing about R/T CATs falling apart, I was worried about that pounding we did on one of the CATs. No problems so far though. Kinetix has a better shape (same as stock, cylindrical), no heat shield, and I haven't heard anything bad about them. Also, they are a great price.

Some folks say the Crawfords are quieter but I would have to disagree. I heard a 350Z with Nismo and R/Ts and it sounded quiter than my FX35 did. So quiet that I am going to follow up with a test drive inside the cabin to see if I should re-consider the exhaust.
Stllen dual sounds great, wife gave it the thumbs up! easy install!!

feels better throughout all rpms, between the whine of the sc and the growl of the exhaust my fx sounds like a beast, is a beast. ujmot must come to SINY and back me up!! PM me to set up a flight!
Hi, is there somewhere that I can hear the nismo and stillen on a fx35?

Also, where can you get the nismo?

Nevermind, found it here:

Thanks!
I have the stillen non supercharged, anyone have suggestions on how I can easily record for the board the sound of my exhaust and also post it too.

Any suggestions would help
